Roasted Corn and Sausage Chowder

You might be wondering why we are posting a Corn Chowder recipe here in the middle of May? Well, our editor-in-chief asked me that same question. Afterall, nothing is better in cold weather than a really good bowl of soup, right? However, when do you get the very best pick of corn? It isn’t in the dead of winter when the truck comes into the local mega-mart with corn from South America that is $2 an ear and looks like it died just outside of Tucson, AZ.

This recipe is divergent from its inspiration with the addition of sausage. We hope that you will make this plenty of times and use an amazing sourdough bread to sop up the pot liquor (otherwise known as the broth).
