For the past few months I’ve really been enjoying granola. I’ll munch on it plain, add it to yogurt, or eat it as a cold cereal. I love that it’s a healthier option for snacks and breakfast that is as quick to prepare in a moment as store-bought cold cereal. And when you make your own, you can control what goes in it. That’s something that is pretty important for me.
What I have here is a very basic granola with nothing added to it. It’s awesome on its own, but that doesn’t mean you can’t add stuff to it. I like to make it plain and then as my fancy strikes, I’ll add nuts or dried fruits to my individual servings. It’s very customize-able that way.
In our store we carry any nut you can imagine. I love to add raw pecan pieces. We also have a great selection of dried fruits, including top quality raisins and dried cranberries. My favorite to add to my granola is the good old classic raisin.
