Glazed Fresh Peach Pie

Glazed Fresh Peach Pie

It’s peach season!  Bottled peaches, peach jam, peach cobbler, and…peach pie.  Take a seat out on your back porch at the end of the day and watch the sunset with a refreshing plate of fresh peach pie and a splattering of whipped cream on top.  Can things get any better than this?  Well, probably.  But this is a dessert that makes life stop for a while as you enjoy good food and good people.

Peach Pie

1 qt peaches, drained                                    2 T flour, heaping

1 c sugar                                                              3 eggs

½ c water                                                            2 T powdered buttermilk

½ c butter, melted                                           1 tsp vanilla

½ tsp cinnamon                                9 “ pie plate with unbaked crust

Place peaches in the bottom of the pie shell.  In a mixing bowl combine all other ingredients and mix with a whisk until well combined.  Pour over peaches.  Place pie on a baking sheet and bake at 350 for forty minutes, or until the middle doesn’t jiggle when moved.
